We focus solely on remodeling, we don’t build new houses which allows us to be great at remodeling as our specialty. With in-house design capabilities, we deliver swift turnaround times and tailored solutions, including comprehensive bathroom transformations and flexible room layout adjustments. From kitchen and bath remodels to extensive structural modifications, such as first-floor renovations and second-story additions, we offer a full spectrum of remodeling services. Meet the Owner, Jerry Coussens

Jerry was born in 1956 in Davenport, Iowa. He was raised on a family farm in New Liberty, Iowa with nine brothers and sisters. He graduated from Bennett High School and attended Iowa State University in the field of Farm Operation. In 1979, he married Julie Cummings also of Davenport. They have four children; Seth, Gabe, Tyson and Ella along with four grandchildren.

In addition to farming, he worked as a laborer in the construction industry before starting “Coussens Construction" in 1987. He later incorporated and changed the business name to J.D Coussens Remodeling in 1990.

Over 30 years in construction business, Certified Remodeler from the National Association of Remodeling Industry (NARI), Graduate of the Dale Carnegie Course, Member of Remodelers Advantage Roundtables, Past President and Boardmember Quad City Home Builders And Remodelers QCBR (voted 2009 QCBR Remodeler of the Year), member QCBR Remodelers Council, Certified Green Professional and Lead Safe Renovator

Hobbies:
Jerry enjoys building fast airplanes, flying airplanes, snow skiing and traveling.
